Mesenchymal stem cell culture

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are adult stem cells with self-renewal ability, immune regulation, and multiple differentiation potential. MSCs can be easily obtained from umbilical cord, bone marrow, or fat tissue. MSCs can differentiate into fat, bone, cartilage, and other cells. MSCs are widely used in cell therapy, regenerative medicine, medical cosmetology and other fields. MSCs showed excellent therapeutic effects in autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, and in neurological diseases (eg. Stroke). MSC is candidate of tissue engineering and organ repair in regenerative medicine due to its controlled multi-differentiation potential. MSC is the rising star in the field of medical cosmetology due to its complicated mechanism during cell growth and differentiation.

BioSci provide hMSC culture media for primary culture and subsequent amplification, hMSC culture supplement, hMSC primary culture enhancer, and hMSC adipogenic/osteogenic/chondrogenic differentiation kit.

hMSC Culture and Differentiation Kit

hMSC culture kit contains a GMP grade M200 hMSC serum-free medium, and a F20 plus hMSC supplement. It has no serum or animal origin compositions. It can be used for primary culture and subsequent amplification and passage culture of mesenchymal stem cells. It can maintain the trilineage differentiation potential into mesoderm. This product has superior proliferation promoting ability and short doubling time, which makes the best of your precious primary cells. BioSci also recommend and provide optional reagent, eg. hMSC primary culture enhancer.

BioSci provides GMP grade serum-free medium plus either one or two supplement for each of hMSC differentiation kit. One kit is for one of the three major differentiation for hMSC: adipogenic, osteogenic, and chondrogenic differentiation. Each type of kit contains a specific optimized basal serum-free medium for one of the differentiation direction and one or two supplement specific for that differentiation. Medium and supplement are both specific designed and optimized for each of the differentiation, thus give these kits superior performance compared with peers on market.

iPS Culture

Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) are a type of cells that transcription factors was delivered into differentiated somatic cells to reprogram them into embryonic stem-like cells. In Theory, iPSC can proliferate indefinitely and can differentiate into almost all human cell types in vitro. This makes iPSC the most potential tool in precision medicine and regenerative medicine. Some of the iPSC clinical trials have already on the way, in neurodegenerative disease, myocardiac disease, retinol disease, or U-CarT therapy. However, much of the iPSC proliferation and differentiation mechanism has yet to understand. iPSC is biological unstable, especiallly considering industrial scale or clinical complexity in reality. New technology, eg. gene editing, cell factory with AI, combined therapy, might fasten its application in clinical in short term, while iPSC research itself can greatly enhance our understanding of cell biology.

PSE8 Human Pluripotent Stem Cell Medium

PSE8 human pluripotent stem cell medium is a xeno-free and feeder-free maintenance medium. It is for the maintenance growth and expansion of hiPSC. It does not have the function of cell induction and directional differentiation. This medium contains only the 8 most basic components to maintain the growth and expansion of hiPSCs, supports the growth of hiPSC for ≥35 passages without any signs of karyotype abnormalities, while maintaining the tridermic differentiation ability of hiPSC.

Neuroblasts and Primary Neuron Culture

Neuroblasts or primary neuron culture is of unique cell culture requirement. It is important not only for neural regeneration therapy, but also for cell/organoid model for ion-exchange or brain-blood barrier. BioSci provide Neuronal basal medium, N-2 Supplement, and NS-27 supplement to meet various neuron cell culture needs.

Neuronal Basal Medium and NS-27 / N-2 Supplement

Neuronal basal medium, NS-27 Supplement (50X), and N-2 Supplement (100X) are GMP grade and chemically defined medium and supplement for the growth of neuroblastoma and various neurons. N-2 supplement is mainly recommended for the growth and expression of neuroblastoma and neurons in the late stage of mitosis derived from the peripheral nervous system (PNS) and central nervous system (CNS). NS-27 Supplement is an optimized serum-free supplement used to support the growth and viability maintenance of embryonic, postnatal, adult hippocampal neurons and other central nervous system (CNS) neurons.
